Beth Malovance

 



 

 



Beth Malovance is a Smith-Watkins Artist and a Denis Wick Ambassador.  She currently serves as principal cornet for both the Chicago Brass Band and one of the Salvation Army’s premiere brass bands, the Chicago Staff Band. In addition, she plays with the Brass Band of Battle Creek, the Norridge Citadel Brass Band and has played with the Athena Brass Band. 

Beth has served as a Guest Artist for the International Women’s Brass Conference, been a featured soloist in concerts across the United States and abroad, is featured as a soloist on several albums. She serves as a guest clinician/soloist for events and camps.  She has also been a prize-winner at the US Open Brass Band Championship and at NABBA (North American Brass Band Association).

Beth currently works for the Salvation Army USA Central Territory as the Music Education Specialist and taught in public education for over 7 years.  Her educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts degree in Trumpet Performance from the California Institute of the Arts, a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Louisville, and a K-12 Illinois Teaching Certificate from Trinity International University.
