As I mentioned earlier, the mouthpiece creates the sound with your student. Note it is not the other way around. Whatever sound resonates in that mouthpiece is then magnified by the instrument, so getting the mouthpiece right is crucial. However, we are not overlooking how important the embouchure is. There are many ways to get your students to make their first sounds in a healthy manner. These techniques have worked out best for our artists.
