These are our beginner mouthpiece suggestions, but you can check out more in the Products section of the Denis Wick App. Beginner mouthpieces utilize mouthpieces with a small diameter that help support the embouchure as it receives the first few bursts of air. The more consistently your student is able to create a sound through the mouthpiece, the faster their embouchure muscles form. Since smaller diameter mouthpieces tend to be paired with shallower cups and tighter diameters, the beginner size is really only appropriate for beginners. Once their muscles are formed, a small beginner mouthpiece can stifle the growth of an intermediate player.
